Set what the night audit does with the house’s outlets’ guest checks still open on the business date it closes (any check whose business_date is that day or earlier). carry — the default when unset: the day closes, the checks stay open on their own business date (a check may span dates, as Simphony’s do; its lines priced and its revenue reported on the day it opened, its settlement stamped when it happens), the audit emits fnb.checks_carried listing them, and the till reads them as carried. refuse: the audit refuses, naming each outlet and check number, until they are settled — Simphony’s opt-in privilege to prevent Start of Day with open checks.
