Carries no generation_key, so the generator’s convergence sweep never touches it. Refuses a room under an active out-of-order block covering the service date (release decides the state the room re-enters in). credits and standard_minutes come from the property’s most specific active housekeeping credit rule for the task type and the room’s type, unless given here. assignee_id assigns it in the same write (a staff member at the room’s house), so an inspection a supervisor starts is theirs from the first moment rather than on every attendant’s open list; a housekeeper or runner session may name only itself — giving work to someone else is the supervisor’s assign_housekeeping_task. Stamps origin manual (from_triage when from_triage_id is given). A room takes a room’s task types only; a public area’s work is create_public_area_task’s (2026-10-14). A task is a request (2026-10-15): requested_by says who asked — when unstated, guest for a named stay_id (linked, housekeeping_task_requested_by_stay) or from_triage_id, else the caller’s side: floor for a housekeeper’s, runner’s, supervisor’s or engineer’s handset, desk for any other person, automation for an agent or a service. A floor session states only floor — a guest’s request is the desk’s or triage’s to record (403). due_at is when it is due, no earlier than the start of the day before the house’s hotel date; with no business_date the task belongs to its due time’s day. Its urgency is the housekeeping_requests read’s.

Apply against an open branch’s overlay view instead of the canonical (main) plane. The action’s writes land in the branch’s copy-on-first-write overlay, its events in the branch’s own stream, and the invocation is journaled for merge-by-replay. Branch writes are action-only, so this is the write-side entry point to a branch (POST /v1/branches forks one).
object
When true, the response carries modified_objects and modified_links projections — the engine reads the event log inside the same transaction so the projection observes the handler’s own writes.

Responses
Section titled “Responses”Action applied. modified_objects and modified_links populated when return_modified: true was supplied.
Envelope returned by the Aerandil action engine. correlation_id ties every event emitted by this invocation; modified_objects and modified_links project the events the handler emitted (per the action’s declared effects); warnings carries any non-blocking soft-validator observations.
object
Per-invocation correlation id; matches events.correlation_id for every event this action appended.
Links established or removed by this invocation. Empty when the caller did not request return_modified.
object
Objects created, modified, or soft-deleted by this invocation. Empty when the caller did not request return_modified.
object
Non-blocking soft-validator observations emitted during this invocation (e.g. comp-authority over-limit, recipe pour-cost over sell-price). Absent when no warnings were emitted.
object
Human-readable summary, suitable for logging or operator-UI surfacing.
Object type the warning was raised against.
Property the warning anchors to, when a single field is the locus. Absent for multi-field rules.
Stable kebab-case rule identifier (e.g. comp-authority-over-limit).
Example
{ "modified_links": [ { "kind": "linked", "link_type": "hospitality.link.housekeeping_task_for_room" } ], "modified_objects": [ { "kind": "created", "object_type": "hospitality.housekeeping_task" } ]}Conflict — concurrent modification or unique constraint violation.
Validation error — parameter validation or business-rule violation.
