A piece of equipment a house maintains — the boiler, a room’s air conditioner, the kitchen’s walk-in (hubOS’s hardware). Keyed by code, the house’s tag for it, unique within the house: register_asset with a code the house already holds re-states that asset in place. Stands in at most one place — a room (asset_in_room) or a venue (asset_at_venue) — or nowhere in particular. Work orders (work_order_for_asset) and preventive plans (maintenance_plan_for_asset) attach to it as well as to a room, so its service history is a read. active, out_of_service (with the reason) or retired (terminal; its plans retire with it). Manuals and photos hang off it as attachments.

provenance

Per-property source attribution and pins. An entry under properties means the property’s current value came from that source (on the source’s own clock, source_updated_at); an entry under pins is a human override protecting the property from sourced writes.

Quoted strong validator (RFC 7232 §2.3) carrying the object’s monotonic version. Informational on the read path — object mutation goes through typed actions on /v1/actions/{action}/apply, not raw CRUD.

No object with that id (or soft-deleted).
