One property-authored tax rule: jurisdiction, what it applies to (a USALI bucket, one retained-payment system_charge_kind, or an F&B tax_class — exactly one), percent / flat-per-night / per-person basis, inclusive/exclusive posture, an optional long-stay reduced value, and an effective-date window. The night audit derives each room posting’s tax_application lines from the rooms rules active on the audited business date; a forfeited deposit, cancellation fee or no-show charge is taxed only by a rule targeting its kind. Rules sharing a code and a target form a non-overlapping succession timeline (a rate change end-dates the predecessor and mints the successor).

object
Amount per room night (flat_per_night) or per guest per night (per_person_per_night). Required on those bases, forbidden on percent rules
object
Per-property source attribution and pins. An entry under properties means the property’s current value came from that source (on the source’s own clock, source_updated_at); an entry under pins is a human override protecting the property from sourced writes.

Section titled “Headers”Quoted strong validator (RFC 7232 §2.3) carrying the object’s monotonic version. Informational on the read path — object mutation goes through typed actions on /v1/actions/{action}/apply, not raw CRUD.
No object with that id (or soft-deleted).
