Record that the guest never arrived: reservation to the terminal no_show state, its room slices to cancelled, and their room-nights released back to the availability ledger from as_of — the business day the no-show belongs to, the arrival day the audit closed, never after the house’s today — or, when it is not given, from the house’s today forward: the hotel date (the business date the property has open, else its local calendar day). A no-show recorded after the fact without as_of therefore releases nothing: its nights have passed. Normally driven during the night-audit sweep of the arrival business day, which passes the day it is closing. Posts the house’s no-show posting rule for the booking’s guarantee onto its own account, as the audit’s sweep does, so a booking the desk marks before the close is posted the same as one the close marks. Guest-impacting and terminal, so agents stage it for human confirmation.
